Krepelka Advances to Second Round of NCAA Tennis Championship

Oklahoma State senior Fran Krepelka defeated Alex Hartman of Mississippi, 6-1,7-5, in the first round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship in College Station, Texas.
Krepelka, 16-3 overall, will face Texas A&M's Ryan Newport in the second round on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
He will also be teaming up with senior Matt Prentice for the Men's Tennis Doubles Championship against Juan Cerdal and Jason Pongsrikul of San Diego at 3:30 p.m. The duo has an overall record of 14-5 for the fall season.
In the Women's Doubles Championship in Stanford, Calif., junior Linda Faltynkova and sophomore Katya Kolodynska fell in the first round to Stanford's Lauren Barnikow and Erin Burdette, 6-4, 6-3.
The duo ends the spring season with a record of 17-5.
