Men's Netters Earn Academic Honors

Oklahoma State's senior Fran Krepelka and junior Jiri Jezek were two of 10 student-athletes named on the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District VI At-Large team.

Krepelka, who has attained a 4.00 grade point average in computer science and mathematics, was 15-3 this season at No. 2 singles and 14-5 at No. 1 doubles. Krepelka will be competing in the NCAA Championships singles and doubles competition on May 22 in College Station, Texas.

Jezek, who has attained a 3.955 GPA in computer science and German, was 13-5 this season at No. 3 singles and 11-6 at No. 2 doubles.

Krepelka and Jezek will be placed on the national ballot for academic all-America honors.
