Women's Tennis Defeats Red Raiders

Oklahoma State's women's tennis team defeated Texas Tech, 4-3, on Saturday in Lubbock, Texas to improve to 12-10 (6-5 Big 12) on the year.
The Cowgirls trailed 1-0 after losing two of three doubles matches.
The No. 11 ranked duo of junior Linda Faltynkova and sophomore Katia Kolodynska recorded the doubles win for the Cowgirls at No. 1 doubles. The duo defeated Beverly Dawson and Irina Tereschenko, 9-7.
The Cowgirls bounced back from doubles play and won four of six singles matches to clinch the victory.
Faltynkova outlasted Alenka Ovin at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2. Junior Kate Vasylyeva defeated Barbara Schraml in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
After dropping the second set, Kolodynska breezed through the third set defeating Dawson, 6-2, 4-6, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Junior Gorana Marsic defeated Noel Ruiz at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-4.
The Cowgirls will return to action when they travel to College Station, Texas for the Big 12 Tournament that begins on April 25.
