Women's Netters Blank The Cyclones

Oklahoma State's women's tennis team defeated the Iowa State Cyclones, 7-0, on Saturday, improving their record to 11-9 ( 5-4 Big 12).
The Cowgirls got off to a strong start by winning all three doubles matches, giving them an early 1-0 lead.
The No. 10 ranked duo of junior Linda Faltynkova and sophomore Katia Kolodynska defeated Sabrina Evers and Noortje Cornelissen, 8-1, at No. 1 doubles.
Junior Gorana Marsic and senior Ashleigh Dolman teamed up at No. 2 doubles to defeat Tara Goedjen and Kristin Gyaki, 8-3. Senior Dominika Olszewska and junior Kate Vasylyeva teamed up at No. 3 doubles to defeat Courtney Leese and Edna Vazquez, 8-1, to complete the sweep.
The Cowgirls never looked back as they won all six of the singles matches. Five of the six wins came in straight sets.
Olszewska outlasted Cornellissen, 1-6, 6-3, 10-8, at the No. 1 singles position. Faltynkova defeated Evers, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2 singles.
Vasylyeva blanked Vazquez, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, while Kolodynska defeated Goedjen, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 4 singles.
Dolman defeated Karin Westburg at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-1. Marsic completed the sweep at the No. 6 singles position, beating Sharla Whitaker, 6-3, 6-4.
The Cowgirls will return to action on April 17 when they travel to Norman, Okla. to take on Oklahoma at 2 p.m.
