Men's Netters Defeat Colorado

Oklahoma State's men's tennis team defeated Colorado ,6-1, on Friday at the DeBois Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla. The Cowboys improve their record to 10-4 (2-1 Big 12) on the year.
The Cowboys grabbed an early 1-0 lead after winning two of three doubles matches.
Seniors Matt Prentice and Fran Krepelka defeated Justin Hunter and Bryan Knepper, 8-6, at the No. 1 doubles spot. Junior Jiri Jezek and freshman Angel Diankov defeated Maciej Dilaj and Bucky Mink, 9-7, at No. 2 doubles to clinch the doubles point.
Prentice clinched the match by winning at No. 1 singles. The New Zealand native defeated Dilaj in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5.
Krepelka outlasted Mirko Jovanovic at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1. Jezek had little trouble at No. 3 singles, defeating Hunter, 6-2, 6-0.
After dropping the second set, Diankov battled back to defeat Knepper at No. 4 singles, 7-6, 5-7, 6-4. Freshman Loren Collins defeated Zachery Hood in straight sets at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-4.
The Cowboys will return to action on Saturday when they host No. 7 ranked Baylor at 2 p.m. If bad weather should hit Stillwater, the match will be moved to the Greens Country Club at 4 p.m.
