Men's Netters Down the Gauchos

Oklahoma State's men's tennis team defeated the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos,4-3, on Saturday in Santa Barbara, Calif.
After dropping two of three doubles matches the Cowboys rallied back to win four of six singles matches to capture the win.
Senior Matt Prentice outlasted Carlos Palencia in a three set battle at the No. 1 singles position, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Senior Fran Krepelka defeated Marcin Kosakowski in straight sets at the No. 2 singles spot, 6-1, 6-3.
Junior Jiri Jezek and freshman Angel Diankov earned their victories in straight sets. Jezek defeated Mike Placek at the No. 3 singles spot, 6-3, 6-4. Diankov won over Alex Anselme at the No. 4 singles spot, 7-5, 6-4.
The lone doubles win came between Jezek and Diankov. The duo defeated Marcio Pepe and Alex Yaftali, 8-3, at the No. 3 doubles position.
The Cowboys improve their record to 9-3 on the season and will return to action on Sunday when they face Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to wrap up their three match trip in Santa Barbara.
