Contract Of Halterman Not Extended

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State University Athletics Director Terry Don Phillips announced today he will recommend to the schools Board of Regents that the contract of Head Womens Basketball Coach Dick Halterman not be extended past the current season.

"We recognize the longevity and the contributions Coach Halterman has made to the Cowgirl Basketball program," Phillips said. "We believe, however, that we need to take a different direction with the program."

Halterman is in his 19th season at OSU and had a 328-231 overall record through last weekends games. His current OSU squad has a record of 11-13.
