Cowgirls Close Out Road Swing With Trip To Kansas

Oklahoma State's Cowgirl basketball team (10-9 overall, 2-4 Big 12) will look to rebound from a 62-51 loss to nationally-ranked Texas Tech when it travels to Lawrence to take on the Kansas Jayhawks at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
KU, 5-15 overall, enters the contest seeking its first conference win of the season after starting the Big 12 slate 0-7.
Forward KC Hilgenkamp leads the squad's offensive attack, averaging 12.7 points and 3.4 assists per contest. Guard Selena Scott is the only Kansas player to start all 20 games this season and is averaging 11.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per outing.
OSU and KU split their two meetings a year ago. The Cowgirls won 61-53 in Stillwater behind a 17-point effort from Kara Faulk, while the Jayhawks knocked off OSU in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament, winning 66-56. KU leads the all-time series 25-16.
COMING UP
The Cowgirls will return home to renew the Bedlam Series with No. 4
Oklahoma on Tuesday at 7 p.m. OU enters this weekend's action with a 15-2
mark overall and a 5-1 ledger in Big 12 play. Head coach Sherri Coale's
squad won the squads' first meeting on Jan. 9, downing the Cowgirls 65-48
before 8,402 fans at the Lloyd Noble Center.
With a win in Stillwater, OU would even the all-time series at 34-34. OSU holds a 16-12 mark against the Sooners in Gallagher-Iba Arena, but OU has won three straight in Stillwater and five in a row overall.
LAST TIME OUT
Oklahoma State closed out a string of five consecutive games against
ranked opponents on Wednesday night, falling 62-51 at Texas Tech. The
Cowgirls trailed 32-31 at the half after holding Tech's leading scorer, Jia
Perkins, to four points. However, the sophomore exploded in the second half,
scoring 16 points and swiping four steals to help the Lady Raiders pull
away. Sophomore Trisha Skibbe recorded her fourth double-double (13 points,
10 rebounds) of the season in the loss.
