Tuesday's Game
Oklahoma State will host the Kansas Jayhawks on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 8 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Cowboys are 15-1 overall and 2-1 in Big 12 Conference play. OSU is coming off a 69-66 win over Iowa State in Ames on Saturday afternoon. KU is 13-2 overall and 2-0 in league play after an 87-77 loss at UCLA in non-conference action on Saturday.
Last Time Out For Oklahoma State
For the second-straight game, OSU had four players score in double figures and the Cowboys handled a late-game surge by Iowa State as the Cowboys defeated the Cyclones, 69-66, in Ames. OSU shot 49.1 percent from the floor, including a 6-of-8 performance by Ivan McFarlin, who had a team-high 16 points. Guards Maurice Baker and Victor Williams each scored 13, and Fredrik J?nz?n chipped in 11. McFarlin also had a team-high eight rebounds, while Williams had seven assists. The difference in the game came from long range as OSU connected on 5-of-10 from beyond the three-point arc. ISU made just 2-of-5 treys. Tyray Pearson had 30 points for the Cyclones, and could not be stopped. He was 10-of-20 from the floor and 10-of-13 from the charity stripe. Jake Sullivan added 16 points for Iowa State.
Marquee Matchup
Tuesday's game vs. Kansas will be broadcast by ESPN-plus as part of the Big 12 Conference's television package. The game can be seen in Tulsa on KWBT-19 and in Oklahoma City on KOCB-34. In Stillwater, the game will be on Cox Cable Channel 11. Fred White will handle the play-by-play duties, while Chris Piper will provide expert analysis. It is also the first game OSU has been involved in that included two top-five teams since both of these schools met on Feb. 8, 1992 when OSU was ranked No. 2 and Kansas was third in the Associated Press poll.
OSU-Kansas: The Series
KU leads the all-time series with Oklahoma State, 95-49, including a narrow 31-28 mark in Stillwater. OSU has won two of the last three, but Kansas has won nine of the last 11 games.
Last Time Out For Kansas
Kansas trailed by 11 at halftime and couldn't recover as the Jayhawks lost to the UCLA Bruins, 87-77, Saturday aftenoon in non-conference action in Los Angeles. Drew Gooden picked up a double-double for KU with 22 points and 10 rebounds, but was just 7-of-17 from the floor. Kirk Hinrich added 17 for the 'Hawks, including 5-of-6 from beyond the arc. UCLA shot 52.6 percent from the floor, compared to just 41 percent for Kansas. KU also had 21 turnovers.
Last Time vs. Kansas
Kirk Hinrich scored 20 points and hit a driving reverse layup that halted an Oklahoma State rally and helped No. 5 Kansas to a 77-61 victory over the Cowboys. Hinrich hit six of his first eight field goal attempts and also assisted in holding Oklahoma State's Maurice Baker to 12 points, 11 below the league-leading average he's had in Big 12 Conference games. Drew Gooden did not play and due to a wrist injury. Eric Chenowith had 17 points and 12 rebounds for KU. The Cowboys did not score a field goal the final 7:22, getting their last 10 points on free throws. A three pointer by Melvin Sanders and Fredrik J?nz?n's free throw sliced Kansas' lead to 51-45 with 12 minutes to go, then Hinrich went in for a dazzling reverse layup that triggered a 12-2 run. Chenowith had four points in the surge, including a five-foot jumper that made it 63-47. Oklahoma State never got closer than nine. Kansas, avoiding its first back-to-back home losses since 1989, got 10 points from Kenny Gregory and Nick Collison. Sanders and Victor Williams had 13 apiece for Oklahoma State while J?nz?n had 11.
Last Time in Stillwater
Kansas Coach Roy Williams, coaching his 400th game, watched Desmond Mason score 31 points as No. 14 Oklahoma State beat the 20th-ranked Jayhawks, 86-53. The Cowboys won their fifth straight and ninth in 10 games. They also ended an eight-game losing streak to Kansas that dated to Feb. 6, 1995. The Jayhawks shot just 34 percent against the league's stingiest defense. Mason was 10-of-14 from the field and finished one point shy of his career high. He made all five of his three-point tries and turned one of those into a four-point play. Oklahoma State, which shot 54 percent, took control early and didn't give it up. After Kansas took its only lead, 6-4, on a three pointer by Kirk Hinrich, Oklahoma State went on a 21-5 run during the next seven minutes to take a 25-11 lead. Kansas had only five offensive rebounds in the first half and was held to one shot on just about every possession during the Cowboys' run. Meanwhile Oklahoma State went 9-of-12, doing most of its damage inside. Mason scored eight of the Cowboys' 12 points during one stretch later in the half when they took their biggest lead, 43-22. Joe Adkins had 18 points and Gottlieb scored 12. Hinrich led Kansas with 12 points. Kenny Gregory, Kansas' leading scorer with a 13.7 average, didn't score until the 13:36 mark of the second half and finished with eight points.
Up Next: Texas Tech and Nebraska
Oklahoma State will travel to Lubbock, Texas, this weekend to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders (13-2 overall, 2-1 Big 12) and Coach Bob Knight on Saturday in a 3 p.m., nationally-televised game on CBS. Please note the game-time change from the original 1 p.m. start time. OSU will then return home for a game with Nebraska (8-6, 1-2) on Wed., Jan. 23, at 7 p.m.

Cowboys In The Polls
Oklahoma State is currently ranked sixth in both the Associated Press poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. The Cowboys dropped a spot after falling to Texas two weeks ago. OSU's No. 5 ranking over the previous two weeks is the highest ranking OSU has achieved since the Cowboys were ranked second nationally in mid-February of 1992. OSU was ranked No. 2 for two weeks before dropping back to eighth that year. Four of Oklahoma State's opponents this season are ranked in the top 25 of both polls (Kansas, Oklahoma, Cincinnati and Missouri), while four more are receiving votes in at least one of the polls. He started the New Orleans game and vs. Texas at guard, and will see more action with OSU in a three-guard lineup.
Victor Williams Showing Leadership Qualities

It was his third-straight game with 17 or more points, and he now has 12 double-figure scoring games this season. He is third in the Big 12 Conference in field-goal shooting, connecting on 58.4 percent of his shots.
