OSU Netters Complete First Round of Tournaments

Oklahoma State's women's competed today at the Las Vegas Invitational.
Leading the way for the Cowgirls was junior Katia Vasylyeva, who defeated Rocio Fantilli of LSU, 6-4,6-2. Vasylyeva will be the lone OSU player to play tomorrow when she plays at 10:00 a.m. against Pauline Janus of UNLV.
The OSU men's tennis team two players that will play in tomorrows round at the Hurricane Invitational in Tulsa.
Junior Jiri Jezek defeated Jared Welch of ORU, 6-1,6-0 , to advance to tomorrow's round. Freshman Mike McArthy won his match against ORU's Eddie Paez, 6-3,6-2, to stay alive in the tournament.
The duo of Jezek and McArthy defeated ORU's duo of John Hixon and Gerald Bowen,8-4, to stay alive in the men's doubles tournament.
The Cowgirls next stop will be at the Rivier Women's All American on October 11-14 in Los Angeles. The tournament is made up of two players from each participating team.
OSU's men's team will travel next to the CIngular Classic In Lafayette on October 5-7.
