Wadley, Chiller Named Top Coaches In Region V

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's men's tennis coaching staff swept the Region V postseason coaching awards for the 2001 season.
James Wadley, in his 29th season, was named the Region V Head Coach of the Year, while assistant coach Brad Chiller was honored as the assistant coach of the year.
Chiller, a native of Warrnambool, Australia, joined the Pokes coaching staff in the fall of 1998 following a successful four-year playing career at OSU.
"This award caps an outstanding year for our program," said Wadley. "I am honored to receive this award. I am also extremely happy to see my assistant Brad Chiller recognized for the work he has done."
Wadley's Cowboys finished 16-9 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament before bowing out against the defending national champion Stanford Cardinal in Palo Alto, Calif. The Pokes tournament appearance was the first since 1998.
OSU swept through Region V play in 2001, going 9-0 against regional foes. Oklahoma State also notched the biggest win in the history of Cowboy tennis with a stunning upset of then-No. 2 Tennessee Volunteers, 4-2 at the ITA National Indoor Championships.
