Oklahoma State's men's tennis team travels to Norman on Tuesday to take on Bedlam-rival Oklahoma.
The 42nd-ranked Cowboys (10-7, 2-3 Big 12) are coming off two victories last week over Wichita State and Boise State. OSU defeated Wichita State, 6-1, on Wed., and Boise State, 4-3, on Sun.
The Cowboys and Sooners prepare for Bedlam for the 49th time. The Cowboys own an all-time 27-21 record over the Sooners, winning the last four meetings. The Sooners' last win came in 1995, defeating OSU, 6-1, in Stillwater.
Junior Fran Krepelka has led the Cowboys at the No. 4 position all year. The Kosice, Slovakia, native boasts an 11-2 overall record and a 5-0 mark in conference play.
After dropping three consecutive matches, senior Matt Prentice recorded wins against Wichita State and Boise State. The 53rd-ranked Wellington, New Zealand, native clinched the victory against Boise State by defeating Guillaume Bouvier in three sets, 7-6, 6-7, 6-1.
The Cowboys will look for help at the top of the lineup. Prentice has won his last two matches at the No. 1 spot, while senior Chris Bates went 1-1 last week at the No. 3 position. Sophomore Eru Lyndon (No. 2 singles) has lost his last five matches and will look to snap the losing skid on Tuesday.
The bottom half of the lineup has been phenomenal in the last two matches, boasting a perfect 6-0 record. Krepelka leads the Cowboys at the four position, while junior Jiri Jezek and freshman Anthony Zafiris picked up wins at the Nos. 5 and 6 positions, respectively.
The Cowboys will host Tulsa on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the DeBois Tennis Center.
