Oklahoma State's men's tennis team will host in-state rival Tulsa on Wednesday at the DeBois Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
The 42nd-ranked Cowboys (11-7, 3-3 Big 12) are coming off a victory over OU, where they swept all matches from the Sooners en route to a 7-0 victory, while No. 44 Tulsa (12-9) has won its last three matches, including a 5-2 victory over Boise State.
OSU and Tulsa have met 35 times previously, with the Cowboys winning 29 of the matches. Tulsa's last win came in 1999 when they defeated the Cowboys, 2-4, in Tulsa, while the Cowboys won the last meeting, 4-3, in Tulsa.
OSU is led by junior Matt Prentice. The Wellington, New Zealand, native has won its last three matches, improving his record to 11-6. Prentice and sophomore Eru Lyndon fill the No. 1 doubles spot and have been ranked among the nation's best all year. The duo is ranked No. 48 in the latest Wingspanbank.com rankings.
Junior Fran Krepelka has given the Cowboys a boost when they needed it the most. The Kosice, Slovakia, native leads the bottom half of the lineup and has won its last nine matches. Krepelka and senior Chris Bates holsters the No. 2 doubles position.
Sophomore Jiri Jezek and freshman Anthony Zafiris have been on a tear at the Nos. 5 and 6 positions, winning their last three matches. The two also combine to fill the No. 3 doubles spot.
The Cowboys will return to Conference play on April 14 when they host the Kansas Jayhawks.
