Cowboy Tennis upset by Hogs

Oklahoma State's 17th-ranked men's tennis team was upset by the University of Arkansas on Monday in Fayetteville.
The Cowboys (5-4, 1-0) dropped all three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches before losing 4-2 to the Razorbacks.
Junior Matt Prentice led the Cowboys in the singles matches at the No. 1 position. The New Zealand native played the nation's top-ranked player, Oskar Johansson, close, but fell in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
Senior Chris Bates and sophomore Jiri Jezek secured the Cowboys' team points with victories at the No. 2 and 5 positions, respectively. Bates defeated Henrik Tofft in three sets, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1, while Jezek ran by Oggie Kolev at the, 6-2, 6-1.
The Cowboys will return to action Friday when they take on the Runnin' Rebels of UNLV at the Corpus Christi Invitational in Corpus Chrisit, Texas.
