No. 19 Cowgirl Tennis hammers Texas Tech

Oklahoma State's women's tennis team (14-3, 3-1 Big 12) swept all three doubles matches and didn't drop a set in each of the six singles matches en route to a 7-0 victory over Texas Tech, giving the Cowgirls its fourth straight 7-0 win.
"They (Texas Tech) were a little bit down because their No. 1 player wasn't here," head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski said. "The weather has been horrible. There hasn't been one nice day for us to play. The girls want to stay outside so they can practice in the cold, windy conditions."
Oklahoma State's No. 2 doubles team of sophomore Linda Faltynkcova and freshman Katarzyna Kolodynska pounded Stephanie Mueller and Barbar Schraml, 8-2, to record the first victory for the Cowgirls, improving their record to 17-0.
OSU's 21st-ranked doubles team of senior Maria Galoustova-Phillips and junior Ashleigh Dolman fell behind 1-2 to Beverly Dawson and Sonnia Orellana, before storming back to take the match, 8-3, at the No. 1 spot.
The Cowgirls No. 3 doubles team notched the first team point when junior Dominika Olszewska and sophomore Kate Vasylyeva defeated Kendall Brooks and Barbara Schraml, 8-5.
"We will take every match seriously no matter who we play. The next two matches will be tough but I think if we play well then we can win," Lubicz-Majewski said.
OSU's 88th-ranked Galoustova-Phillips recorded her 12th victory of the season, crusing past Schraml, 6-4, 6-3, improving her record to 12-4.
Faltynkova recorded her eighth consecutive victory, defeating Orellana, 6-1, 6-2, improving her record to 14-2, while Kolodynska defeated Brooks, 6-4, 6-0, improving her record to 12-4.
Olszewska, Vasylyeva and Dolman all recorded victories at the Nos. 2, 5 and 6 positions, respectively.
The Cowgirls will travel to Columbia, Missouri, on Wednesday to take on the Missouri Tigers.
