Cowgirls Move Into Second Place Entering Final Round

Waimanalo, Hawaii - Oklahoma State sophomore Christi Cano shot another one-under 71, and moved into a tie for first place entering the final round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Rainbow Wahine Tournament here Wednesday afternoon. The San Antonio, Texas, native is tied with Arizona's Natalie Gulbis at 142.
All five Cowgirls improved on their previous day's score, and propelled OSU into second place after two rounds. Arizona sits atop the team leaderboard with an 18-over 594. Oklahoma State is second, just seven strokes back at 601. Oklahoma is in thier at 604, while LSU (605) and Oregon State (606) round out the top five.
Junior Emma Zackrisson shot a 75 on Wednesday, equalling Tuesday's score and moving her into a tie for eighth place. Linda Wessberg, Maria Bod?n and JoAnn Heller all shot 76's on Wednesday, improving on their previous days score.
The tournament will conclude on Thursday with a final round of 18 holes.
