Oklahoma State's Cowgirl Basketball team left Tulsa this morning at 6:30 a.m. via commercial airline to travel to Honolulu, Hawaii, for their quarterfinal matchup with the Rainbow Wahine. The game will be played at 11 p.m. CST on Wednesday night.
Hawaii defeated BYU, 77-74, in overtime Monday night to set up the contest. The Cowgirls went to Tulsa Monday night in the event that Hawaii won the contest. The game finished at approximately 1:15 a.m.
OSU is 1-0 all-time vs. the Rainbow Wahine, having defeated UH, 66-65, in 1986. The program has made four trips to Honolulu, the most recent being in 1997, when the Cowgirls went 1-1 in the Hawaiian Regent Classic. Oklahoma State is scheduled to play in the Wahine Classic next season over Thanksgiving weekend.
