Stillwater, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl Basketball team will host the North Texas Lady Eagles in the first round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament, it was announced today by Triple Crown Sports. The day and time of the game this week will be determined Monday.
Oklahoma State is 14-14 entering the contest after falling in the first round of the Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament last week to the Kansas Jayhawks. North Texas is 19-10 after falling to Louisiana Tech in the semifinals of the Sunbelt Conference Tournament last week.
This will be OSU's second appearance in the postseason WNIT since it was reformed in 1998. The Cowgirls defeated Rice, 75-52, in the first round that year before falling to eventual runnerup Baylor, 54-47, in second-round action.
