Oklahoma State junior Matt Prentice advanced to the round of 16 at the Rolex National Indoor Championships today, by upsetting Georgia's No. 5-ranked Bo Hodge in straight sets 7-6(5), 6-2.
"Matt played outstanding considering the circumstances," head coach James Wadley said. "He played really well under pressure situations and came through in the clutch."
Prentice will take on UNLV's No. 54-ranked Nenad Zivkovic. The only previous meeting of the two was at the Corpus Christi Invitational during Prentice's freshman year, where he defeated Zivkovic 6-3, 6-7, 6-2.
"During the match I played with my ribbon on," Prentice said. "It served as a constant reminder of what happened on Saturday."
Prentice and Zivkovic will play Friday.
