COWGIRLS FINISH EXHIBITION PLAY AGAINST HOUSTON JAGUARS
Oklahoma State will close out its exhibition season with a 7 p.m. contest
this Tuesday against the Houston Jaguars at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Jaguars
come to town sporting a 4-4 mark on the season after picking up a 69-55 win
over Tulsa on Sunday.
The Jaguars will bring a talented squad to Stillwater, as three of its members are currently on WNBA rosters. Forward Jamie Redd (Seattle Storm), forward Vanessa Nygaard (Portland Fire) and Amanda Lassiter (Houston Comets) are all members of the professional ranks as well as center Denique Graves. Graves is a member of the NWBL's Atlanta Justice. Houston is coached by Kevin Cook, who is currently an assistant coach for the Houston Comets.
Redd currently leads the squad in scoring at 11.6 points per contest and Lassiter paces the team in rebounding, pulling down 7.5 per game.
Houston's four wins have come against Missouri-Kansas City, Kansas, Missouri and Tulsa, while their four losses have come at the hands of Minnesota, Iowa State, Texas A&M and Kansas State.
