OSU Men's Netters Advance to Semifinals

Oklahoma State's men's tennis team advanced two singles players and one doubles team to the semifinals at the ITA Omni Hotels Region V Tennis Championship in Wichita, Kan. on Saturday.
Senior Matt Prentice, ranked No.59, defeated Colorado's Justin Hunter 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 to advance to the quarterfinals of the singles main draw bracket. Prentice, the No.2 seed in the tournament, will face Vedron Vidovic of Indiana State in the quarterfinals.
Senior Fran Krepelka, ranked No.90, advanced to the quarterfinals by beating Nebraska's Jacek Wolicki. Kreplka won after Wolicki retired the match during the first set. Krepelka was leading the set 5-0. He will face Bryan Endress of Drake in the quarterfinals.
Prentice and Kreplka will be playing in the semifinals in the doubles bracket. The duo won their first doubles match of the day by beating Southwest Missouri State's Pavel Hanek and Rishi Garbharran 8-5.
Prentice and Krepelka won their second match of the day by defeating Lance Vodicka and Ikaika Jobe of Saint Louis 8-2. They will face Dalibor Mihajlovic and David O'Connell of Indiana State in the semifinals.
Freshman Mike McArty lost to Oklahoma's Sebastian Revol 8-5 in the second round of the singles back draw bracket.
The semifinals and finals matches will be played on Sunday.
