Stillwater, Okla. - Video boards will appear on all four sides of the center scoreboard in Oklahoma State University's Gallagher-Iba Arena, according to OSU Athletic Director Dr. Terry Don Phillips.
"It is our intention to have these video boards installed in a timely fashion," Phillips said. "The pledges are in place to fund this part of the project. We are simply waiting for enough people to make payment on their pledges to cover the cost of the boards. As soon as that occurs, we will move forward."
Phillips said fans have been inquiring about the boards since the Great American Basketball Bash on Oct. 13. On that day, 7,035 fans watched a first-day practice featuring Eddie Sutton's Cowboys. Fans saw four covered openings in the center scoreboard of Gallagher-Iba Arena that mark the future home of giant video boards. The addition will take America's No. 1 collegiate basketball arena to even greater heights.
"The project remains on budget and we are meeting all financial obligations," Phillips said. "We will continue to show financial responsibility and prudence to ensure that does not change."
If you have either made a pledge to the Gallagher-Iba Arena project that you'd like to fulfill with payment or wish to make a new pledge to the project, you can contact the OSU POSSE Office at 1-877-2-B-POSSE.
