Cowgirl Basketball Announces 2001-02 Schedule

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has announced its schedule for the 2001-02 season.
The Cowgirls, who are coming off a quarterfinal berth in the WNIT last season, will open the campaign with home games against Tulsa and Oral Roberts in the Bertha Teague Memorial Classic.
Fourteen of OSU's 29 regular-season contests will be played in Gallagher-Iba Arena
Tournament stops in Honolulu, Hawaii and Malibu, Calif., as well as a road game against Arkansas highlight the non-conference portion of the slate
The Cowgirls could play as many as eight squads ranked in the preseason top 25. Seven nationally-ranked foes, Baylor, Colorado, George Washington, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas Tech, are already on the schedule with the possibility of meeting Stanford in tournament play.
OSU will open Big 12 Conference play on Jan. 6 at home against Missouri. Two home contests, Feb. 17 against Iowa State and Feb. 24 against Baylor, will be televised by Fox Sports Net.
