Cowgirls Fall To Lady Raiders, 82-29

LUBBOCK, Texas - No. 9 Texas Tech held Oklahoma State to eight points in the first half Sunday en route to an 82-29 rout that extended the Lady Raiders' home winning streak to 39, the nation's longest.
Texas Tech led 45-8 at halftime, the lowest point total ever for a Lady Raiders' opponent at the half.
Jia Perkins scored 19 points for Texas Tech (15-2, 6-0 Big 12). Katrisa O'Neal had 10 points at the half, more than the entire Oklahoma State team.
The Cowgirls (9-8, 1-5) were led by Jessica Spinner's nine points.
Texas Tech led 12-0 after 5 1/2 minutes. Shelby Hutchens finally broke the scoreless streak at 14:29. After a 3-pointer by Oklahoma State's Kara Faulk at 13:27, Tech went on a 27-1 run to close the half.
It took until 16:28 of the second half for Oklahoma State to hit double digits. It was Oklahoma State's first basket since a free throw with 8:49 left in the half.
With just more than eight minutes left, Tech padded its lead to 47 points. The Lady Raiders' freshmen then took the court.
Texas Tech outrebounded Oklahoma State 51-31 and scored 28 points off turnovers compared with four for Oklahoma State.
