Postgame Quotes
OSU Coach Eddie Sutton
Opening Comments
"Bryndon (Manzer) should be proud of his team, they really played hard
today, they outplayed us. We had a couple of players that played well but
the rest of them came out flat. We used the term get to the magic level,
which means get yourself mentally and emotionally ready to play. We had a
bad case of flatness today. If we were winning by 20, everybody would have
played, but we will take a 16 point victory."
On playing a former player's team
"I don't like playing former assistants as you all know. We played this game
because we thought we could not find another Division I team to play us. I
called Bryndon and helped them out financially to come play us and what some
people don't realize is that there isn't too much different in the level of
play between us and an NAIA team. Usually the main difference is that
Division I teams usually has a couple of big guys where as their teams are
made up of mainly guards and forwards.
On the status of Terrence Crawford
"I don't know when Terrence will be ready to play. He needs to work on his
conditioning and the doctor has not cleared him yet. He worked out
yesterday, actually playing five-on-five and he is just now getting into
playing shape.
On the status of Jason Keep
"He was in street clothes and I haven't decided when to bring him back yet."

Postgame Quotes
Oklahoma State Players
Forward Melvin Sanders
"It kind of makes it tough. We have been playing pretty tough games on the road and at home. It makes it tough for us to get up for game like this. We expected to beat them pretty bad, but they came out and hit some pretty tough shots. We should have played better."
"I guess we shot all right from the field. At Baylor, we got the ball inside a little more, but tonight they were covering inside so we had to settle for a lot more outside shots."
"I have been shooting a little bit better the past couple of games, but I should have played a little better defense."
Center Fredrik Jonzen
"We are very disappointed and embarrassed to come out and play like this. We thought we had some momentum going into this game after beating Texas Tech and Baylor and Iowa State. We were going to build on that because we have (Texas) A&M on Wednesday at home. We took a step back today, I think. St. Gregory's, I thought, played their hearts out. They outplayed us today."
"If we didn't schedule this game, we weren't going to play anyway since we have Saturday off. I would rather play a game instead of just practicing so we can get ready again. If you don't gain anything from it, it is no good and we didn't gain anything from it today. That is what we need to correct. We need to come out and play every night like it is a conference game--like we are playing Kansas, Oklahoma or Texas. There are no excuses for that."

Oklahoma State Locker-Room Quotes
Guard Maurice Baker
On the game
"I wanted to be out there the whole game, but my leg started to hurt. We
came out pretty slow tonight. We overlooked them quite a bit. Coach
(Sutton) got on to us at half time for not playing hard. He told us that we
needed to play our hardest in the second half. They were playing a zone
defense, which allowed us to shoot a lot of three pointers. We were able to
knock some of them down tonight. We didn't come out and play well like we
did against Baylor, but I think that we did some good things tonight."
On returning to conference play "We will be back in conference play next week against Texas A&M. We will need to come out and play hard the entire forty minutes. We will be ready to play Wednesday."

Postgame Quotes
St. Gregory's Coach Bryndon Manzer
"I was very pleased with the effort of our ballclub. It's hard to play a non conference game in the middle of your conference season. I know that they maybe weren't as prepared mentally, and that's to be expected. That's hard to get up for. We knew that, and we tried to relay to the ballclub that the first five minutes might be an opportunity to out hustle them for a loose ball or step over and take a charge. Whatever it took to get us going and instill some confidence. We've been a ballclub that this year at our level has been up and down and played in spurts. We've lacked some confidence. We came out that first five minutes and got that little lead, and the guys had a shine in their eyes. Then they put a big run on us to get up to 16-10. We chopped that off and kept battling. I'm so happy. I told them I appreciated their effort tonight, and hopefully we can use it to build on. The most important thing to us is the Sooner Athletic Conference."
On coaching against his alma mater
"You know how much I love OSU, and I have so many ties here. Once that
basketball went up it was St. Gregory's. Realistically speaking, we
understood that we would have a tough time beating them, but we had a few
things happen for us. We gave maximum effort for 40 minutes, so that's what
we're pleased with."
On what the game meant to his team
"It means a lot. If you look at our roster, we have a lot of Oklahoma kids.
I joke around with them about how probably growing up their lifelong dream
was not to play for me at St. Gregory's. We understand that. They have
something to prove. I tried to motivate some of the players by saying maybe
you did get overlooked by the bigger schools. Here's your opportunity to
show a packed stadium that you can compete."
