Cowgirls Fall To No. 14 Texas, 64-43

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas outrebounded Oklahoma State, 51-27, as the No. 14 Lady 'Horns defeated the Cowgirls, 64-43, here Saturday afternoon in Big 12 Women's Basketball action. It was OSU's fourth-consecutive loss, and fourth league loss.
Despite trailing by as many as 14 at 18-4 early in the first half, the Cowgirls slowly came back and trailed, 27-25, at halftime. The comeback included a five-minute scoring drought by UT as the Cowgirls went on an 11-0 run midway through the period.
Not one OSU player scored in double figures in the game, as Jessica Spinner led the Cowgirls with eight points. Oklahoma State had good bench production as 20 of the 43 points came from subs.
Texas had four starters score in double figures, and two of those, Stacy Stephens and Tracy Cook, had double-doubles with 10 and 12 rebounds, repsectively.
It was the second-straight game that OSU has failed to score 20 points in the second half. The 18 points vs. Texas in the period were the lowest of the season, beating out last game's 19 points vs. Colorado in the second stanza.
Oklahoma State (8-7 overall, 0-4 Big 12) will host the Kansas Jayhawks (7-7, 1-2) on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
