Three Cowgirl Golfers Earn Academic All-America Honors

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team had three players named to the 1999-2000 NGCA All-Scholar team, it was announced Thursday. Junior Maria Boden, sophomore Emma Zackrisson and freshman JoAnn Heller were all three named Academic All-Americans.
Boden, who finished 10th at the NCAA Championships this season, was also named a first-team All-American by the National Golf Coaches Association.
Oklahoma State had the second-most players named to the team, as Bowling Green State had five players honored. In all, 117 golfers were named to the All-Scholar team.
The Cowgirls had had 11 golfers previously named Academic All-Americans since 1985, although this is the first time three players have been accoladed in the same season. Twice, in 1985 and again in 1993, two Cowgirls were honored.
