Cowgirl Basketball Team Competes In Australia

MELBOURNE, Victoria, Australia -- Oklahoma State's women's basketball team will play five games in 10 days during its tour of Australia. The Cowgirls traveled all day Sunday and arrived late Monday night local time in Melbourne.
OSU will play the Victorian All-Stars on Wednesday night. On Thursday, the Cowgirls will play the McDonald's All-Stars, also in Melbourne.
On Friday, May 12, the travel party will fly to Canberra and play the Australia Institute of Sport team. The Cowgirls will then take two days off for sightseeing in Syndey, home of the 2000 Summer Olympics.
On Monday, May 15, the Cowgirls will face the Sutherland Basketball Club of Sydney. The team will conclude its games on Wednesday, May 17, vs. the Cairns Basketball Club in Cairns.
Other sites on the agenda include the Great Barrier Reef, the Olympic Village, the famous Opera House in Sydney, the Taronga Zoo, the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world, and the Wild World Animal Park.
The team will return to Oklahoma on Friday, May 19.
