Cowgirl Basketball Signs Two

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl basketball team announced the signing of two junior college players to national letters of intent, it was announced today.
Coach Dick Halterman and his staff announced the commitments of Terrisha Osborn, a junior-to-be from Seminole Junior College in Seminole, Okla., and Machell Roberts, a junior-to-be from Westark Community College in Ft. Smith, Ark.
Osborn was listed as a Kodak Junior College All-American after both her freshman and sophomore seasons at Seminole JC. After the 1999-2000 season, she was also named third-team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association. A 6-0 post player, she averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds per game for the Belles and coach Don Dodd.
"I've really wanted to go to Oklahoma State all my life," said Osborn. "I also really enjoyed the time I spent with the players and coaching staff on my visit. It just seemed like a really good fit for me."
Roberts spent the last three seasons at Westark as a 5-5 point guard. After suffering an ACL injury midway through her freshman season, she received a medical redshirt and two years of eligibility. She earned Bi-State East All-Conference honors last year, and led the Lady Lions with 12.3 points, 3.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game.
"I was originally going to get closer to home (after her stint at Westark) but, when I went home and saw that my family was doing well, I decided that I wanted to go and play for a program like OSU," said Roberts. "I really want to get a chance to play again with Tari (Cummings), and this will give me that chance."
Osborn and Roberts join Juco All-American Nikki Lawrence of Blinn Junior College and Trisha Skibbe of Oxford (Kan.) High School as the OSU recruiting class of 2000-2001.
