STILLWATER, Okla. -- The 51st-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis team posted seven wins en route to a 5-2 victory over Colorado on Friday at the DuBois Tennis Center.
With the win, OSU rose to 11-6 overall and 4-3 in Big 12 play. The Buffaloes fell to 8-9 and 1-6.
The Pokes jumped out to an early lead after sweeping the match's three doubles contests to claim the doubles point. Chris Bates and Fran Krepelka led the charge with their seventh consecutive win, dropping Bryan Knepper and Justin Hunter 9-7. The win moved the duo's record to 15-2 on the season.
In singles action, the Cowboys picked up wins from Bates, Krepelka. Eru Lyndon and Jeremy Ewert. Ewert, the Cowboys' lone senior, cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win over CU's Andy Winter.
Krepelka's win was his sixth in his last seven matches. The sophomore from Slovakia improved to 15-2 on the year.
The Cowboys will close out the regular season tomorrow at 2 p.m. when they host No. 4 Baylor.
