Cowboys Cruise To A Pair Of Weekend Victories

TULSA, Okla. -- The Oklahoma State tennis squad started the 2000 season in fine fashion, rolling to a pair of wins over Denver and Drake this weekend.
The Pokes dropped Denver 7-2 on Saturday and downed Drake by the same count Sunday afternoon.
Heralded newcomer Eru Lyndon and sophomore Matt Prentice led the Cowboy charge at No. 1 and No. 2 singles respectively. The pair combined to win four singles matches on the weekend. Lyndon and Prentice also claimed a pair of victories at No. 1 doubles.
Frantisek Krepelka was equally impressive in his Cowboy debut. The transfer from West Florida garnered a pair of wins at No. 3 singles and teamed with Chris Bates to go undefeated at No. 2 doubles.
Jeremy Ewert got his senior campaign off to a good start, coasting to wins at the No. 6 position.
The Cowboys will return to action on Feb. 11 when they travel to Boston to take on Yale, Brown and Harvard.
