Men's Tennis Opens Season This Weekend

TULSA, Okla. - The Oklahoma State men's tennis team will begin the 2000 season with two matches over the weekend in Tulsa.
The Cowboys will take on the Denver Pioneers Friday night at 7 p.m. and will square off with the Drake Bulldogs Sunday at 10 a.m.
Coach James Wadley, who is entering his 28th year at the OSU helm, and his squad will be looking to rebound from a 1999 campaign that saw the Cowboys finish with a disappointing 9-12 record.
OSU returns a solid nucleus from last year of senior Jeremy Ewert and sophomore Matt Prentice. The Cowboys will also be bolstered by the return of junior Chris Bates,who has two conference titles and runner-up finishes to his credit.
Wadley's young squad will be tested early, with their first 13 matches coming on the road. The Cowboys will open their home slate against conference foe, Oklahoma, on April 12.
