STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State will host the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena. It will be OSU's next-to-last home game of the season. OSU is 12-12 overall this season, 4-8 in Big 12 Conference action after a 71-60 loss to the Baylor Bears in Waco on Tuesday night. A&M is 11-11 overall, 3-9 in league play after a 66-55 victory over Missouri on Wednesday. The Cowgirls won the earlier meeting between these two schools, 61-42, in College Station.
COMING UP - Oklahoma State will travel to Lincoln, Neb., on Tuesday, Feb. 22, for a game vs. the Nebraska Huskers (12-11, 6-6). On Saturday, Feb. 26, the Cowgirls will host the Texas Tech Lady Raiders (20-3, 9-3) at 7 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
INJURY REPORT - Tari Cummings suffered a partial ACL tear and a lateral meniscus tear in her left knee against West Virginia on Dec. 31. She had surgery on Jan. 7, and is out until the first week of March. Kara Faulk saw limited playing time Tuesday vs. Baylor after missing 10 games.
LAST TIME - Oklahoma State scored a season-low 16 points in the first half and never could recover as the Cowgirls fell to last-place Baylor, 71-60, here Tuesday evening here in the Ferrell Center. Senior Jennifer Crow scored a game-high 24 points in the loss. Oklahoma State shot just 19.4 percent from the floor in the first half, and trailed by as many as 23 points in the first period. The Cowgirls trailed by 18, 34-16, at intermission. The second half was a different story, though, as OSU outscored Baylor, 44-37, and allowed six free throws at the end of the game trying to stop the clock. Crow scored 18 of her points in the second stanza. BU's Hilary Akromis scored a team-high 19 points, including 12 in the secon half. OSU's Toya Releford added 12 points for the Cowgirls, all in the second half. Oklahoma State cut the second half lead to 11 at 60-49 with 5:07 remaining, after trailing by as many as 18. But, the Bears scored seven straight points in a matter of :40 seconds and led, 57-39. OSU made a last-ditch effort, with an 8-0 run to cut the score to 60-50. The Cowgirls trailed, 57-65, with 1:32 remaining in the game, but BU hit 6-of-6 free throws to end the game.

COACH DICK HALTERMAN - Dick Halterman is entering his 17th season as the head coach for the Oklahoma State Cowgirls, and brings with him a 299-199 career mark at OSU. Halterman has guided the Cowgirls to eight postseason appearances in the last 11 years, including seven NCAA Tournament appearances (last in 1996) and one Women's NIT appearance (1998). Under Halterman, 13 Cowgirls have been named first-team all-conference, while 27 student-athletes have achieved first-team academic all-conference status. He is a two-time conference Coach of the Year, and was the District V Coach of the Year in 1991. Halterman has taken two conference All-Star teams abroad, including this past August, when he led the Big 12 All-Stars on a tour of Finland and Sweden. That team finished with a 5-1 record. HALTERMAN ON RADIO/TV - During the 1999-2000 season, fans can catch up with the Cowgirl head coach on both the radio and television. The Coach Halterman Radio Show will be broadcast every Monday evening from 5:30 - 6 p.m. on KGFY-105.5 FM in Stillwater. The Coach Halterman Television Show will be broadcast on Tuesday's at 7 p.m. on KWEM-TV 31 in Stillwater, which is Channel 3 on Peak Cablevision. Casey Kendrick, program manager at KWEM, will host both the radio and television shows.
COWGIRL BASKETBALL ON THE AIR - Once again during the 1999-2000 season, the Oklahoma State women's basketball games will be broadcast live on KGFY-105.5 FM in Stillwater, part of Stillwater Radio. Kevin Gum, in his 10th season with the Cowgirl broadcast, will handle play-by-play duties, while Casey Kendrick, in his fifth season on the air, will provide color analysis. Fans outside the Stillwater broadcast range will be able to listen to the broadcasts via the internet at www.okstate.com. Gum and Kendrick will be on the air 30 minutes prior to tipoff with pregame analysis, as well as interviews with Coach Halterman and various Cowgirl players.
HALTERMAN'S NEXT WIN - OSU's next win will be the 300th in Coach Dick Halterman's career. Six current Big 12 coaches have reached the 300-win milestone, and Ceal Barry (CU), Marian Washington (KU) Jody Conradt (UT) and Marsha Sharp (TTU) have done it at their current school.
CROW BACK FOR FINAL SEASON - Jennifer Crow is in her final season in a Cowgirl uniform, and is looking to move up several OSU career statistical charts. She became the 14th player in school history to record 1,000 points in a career, and she currently ranks fourth on the all-time points scored list with 1,675. Jennifer needs eight points to surpass Jamie Siess (1,682) for third. She already holds the school record for three-pointers made (200) and attempted (543) in a career. Jennifer was named third-team All-Big 12 last season, and was honored as a second-team Academic All-American her junior year. She ranks seventh in career scoring average at 15.2 ppg, fifth in free-throw percentage at 82.3 percent, and sixth in three-point shooting at 36.8 percent. Another interesting note: Jennifer is just the third Cowgirl to ever average double-figure scoring in all four years of her career. CROW BREAKS MARK - With four three-pointers vs. Baylor on Tuesday night, Jennifer Crow surpassed the school single-season mark of 57, set by Alicia Burke in 1988-89. Crow owns three of the top four marks in school history, and four of the top eight. With 10 attempts from behind the arc vs. KSU, she surpassed her own mark for three-point attempts in a season, 146 last year. She now has 169 attempts this season.

SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT - With six rebounds vs. Missouri, Jennifer Crow became just the 10th player in school history to record 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in a career. She also became the first player in school history to record 1,500 points, 500 boards, 250 assists and 150 steals in a career. She currently has 1,630 points, 508 rebounds, 260 assists and 166 steals in her four-year career. She is one of just 11 players in the history of the Big 12 schools to reach that milestone.
CROW AT THE LINE - Jennifer Crow set an OSU school record vs. Lamar when she was successful on 12-of-12 trips to the free-throw line. She broke the previous record of 10-of-10, set by Crista Troester in 1983, and duplicated four times since, the most recent time by Cheri Edwards in 1998. One game later vs. Tulsa, Jennifer broke her own record by connecting on 13-of-13 free throws. Crow set another school record from the charity stripe by connecting on 30 consecutive free throws. The previous record was 28, set by Jamie Siess in 1987-88. Jennifer made her last three attempts vs. Illinois, then was a perfect 25-of-25 vs. Lamar and Tulsa. She hit her first two vs. Oral Roberts, but then missed her 31st attempt. She is currently shooting 89.1 percent (139-of-156) from the line. Jennifer also owns two of the top 10 single-game free-throw shooting performances in the nation.

FRESHMEN DUO GETTING PT - Freshman Chantoya Hawkins has started 22 games this season, while fellow freshman Shelby Hutchens has started 17 contests this year. That's the most starts by a true freshman since 1993-94, when Cheri Edwards started 28 in her first season as a Cowgirl. The last time two true freshmen started at least 17 games was in 1992-93, when Stacy Coffey, Amy Scales and Yogi York started 32, 32, and 31, respectively.
HAWKINS NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Freshman Chantoya Hawkins was named the Big 12 Conference's Rookie of the Week, it was announced Monday, for the period ending Feb. 13. Hawkins averaged 14 points, three rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals in two games last week. She had 11 points, four steals and three assists vs. Kansas, and had 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting vs. Oklahoma to go along with four rebounds. She also hit two three pointers during the week, and was 8-of-10 on free throws. She was the first Cowgirl to earn the honor this season, and the third OSU player to be named an "of-the-Week" athlete. Tari Cummings and Jennifer Crow have each been named Player of the Week once this season.
BIG 12 INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS - Jennifer Crow is second in the league in scoring, averaging 21.25 points per game. She trails UT's Edwina Brown, who is averaging 21.32 points per contest. Shoud Jennifer score 24 points vs. Texas A&M, she would, temporarily, take over the Big 12 Conference scoring lead. She has 510 points in 24 games, Brown has 533 points in 25 contests. Crow also ranks ninth in assists per game (4.25), and third in three-pointers made per game (2.46). Chantoya Hawkins ranks 10th in the conference in steals, averaging 2.17 per contest. Crow is second in free-throw percentage at 89.1 percent, just two percentage points behind Texas A&M's Prissy Sharpe (89.3).

MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
As a team, the Cowgirls have shattered the previous school record for three-point attempts in a season. The previous record was 355 in 1991-92. This year, OSU has attempted 429 shots from behind the arc.
Oklahoma State needs just four more three-pointers made to break the school record of 131, set by the 1988-89 team.
Maintaining their current pace, the Cowgirls should break two more three-point records. OSU is currently averaging 5.33 treys made and 17.9 threes attempted this season. The school records are 4.63 and 13.1, respectively.
The Cowgirls broke the school-record for three-pointers in a game when the connected on 11 shots from behind the arc vs. Iowa State. The previous record was 10 vs. Nebraska on March 4, 1998.
Senior Jennifer Crow has scored 20-plus points in 13 of the last 18 contests, and has two 30-point games.
Freshman Chantoya Hawkins has reached double figures in scoring in 17 of the last 20 games.
Freshman Shelby Hutchens has scored at least eight points on nine occasions this season, including a career-high 22 points vs. Baylor in Stillwater.
Junior Reba Johnson pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds at Colorado, the most since Kelly Folsom grabbed 16 caroms at Texas on Feb. 8, 1997.
