Baker is Big 12 Player of the Week

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State junior guard Maurice Baker is the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced today.

Baker scored 47 points in two OSU victories last week. He tallied 24 points in a road triumph at North Texas on Wednesday, hitting 10 of 12 field-goal attempts and also recording six rebounds, five assists and three steals with just one turnover in 33 minutes.

In OSU's 77-69 overtime win against UNLV on Saturday, Baker scored 23 points to lead the team for the second straight contest. Six of his points came in the overtime period as the Cowboys pulled away for a victory.

Baker and the Cowboys (3-0) are in action twice this week, at Wichita State on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. and against Arkansas in Tulsa on Saturday at 7 p.m.
