OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Arkansas' Lonniya Bragg scored 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the Lady 'Backs defeated Oklahoma State, 69-61, here Friday night in women's basketball action. Arkansas improved to 3-3, while OSU dropped to 4-2.
The score was tied at halftime, 25-25, and again at 48-48 with 8:07 remaining in the game. However, Arkansas took the lead on a free throw by Bragg and never trailed again.
The Lady 'Backs outscored the Cowgirls on second-chance points, 12-4, thanks mostly to 18 offensive boards. Both teams shot a dismal 37 percent from the floor.
"That was an ugly basketball game," said OSU Coach Dick Halterman. "They're (Arkansas) probably happy to have a win. It bothers me as much as any game we've played in three or four years."
Oklahoma State will host Washington (2-2) on Sunday at the Freede Wellness Center on the campus of Oklahoma City University. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
