Oklahoma State will host the Arkansas Lady 'Backs on Friday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. in the Myriad Convention Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. It will be the first regular-season 'home' game for the Cowgirls this season. The game, originally scheduled for the new Athletic Center in Stillwater, was moved due to construction complications. Oklahoma State is 4-1 after a 78-44 loss at Southwest Missouri State on Wednesday. Arkansas is 2-3 and coming off a 76-73 win over Hawaii in the Asahi Rainbow Wahine Classic on Sunday. This game is the first of a home-and-home series between the two schools. UA will host the Cowgirls next season in Fayetteville. Oklahoma State leads the all-time series with Arkansas, 9-7.

COMING UP
Oklahoma State will host Washington on Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Freede Wellness Center on the OCU campus. Game time is set for 2 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 9, the Cowgirls will host Wichita State at 2 p.m. in the Mabee Center in Tulsa, Okla.
CAPTAINS
Juniors Kara Faulk and Nikki Lawrence were voted on by the team as the captains for the 2000-01 season. Faulk, a Sapulpa, Okla., native, is beginning her third year in a Cowgirl uniform. Lawrence is a junior college transfer originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
LAST TIME OUT
Southwest Missouri State's Jackie Stiles scored a game-high 28 points as the Bears defeated the Oklahoma State Cowgirls, 78-44, Wednesday night before 7,588 fans in the Hammons Student Center. Cowgirl junior Machell Roberts scored a team-high 12 points for OSU, while freshman Trisha Skibbe scored 10 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead Oklahoma State. Kara Faulk added nine points and eight boards for OSU, while Chantoya Hawkins chipped in eight points. SMS scored early and frequently as the Bears took an early 12-2 lead. However, the Cowgirls cut the lead to four at 14-10 before Southwest Missouri State took off and held a 37-20 lead at intermission. All 11 SMS Bears scored while OSU had just six players score a point. The Cowgirls shot a dismal 14-of-58 (24.1 percent) from the floor, and just 20 percent (3-of-15) >from behind the arc. OSU got outrebounded, 44-37, and committed 28 turnovers.

Arkansas is 2-3 this season with wins over Michigan (78-67) and Hawaii (76-73) and losses to Memphis (66-58), Missouri (79-67) and NC State (48-46). The Lady 'Backs are led by senior Lonniya Bragg, who is averaging 13.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. She is also shooting 52.2 percent from the floor. Wendi Willits is averaging 11.6 points per game. UA is coached by Gary Blair, who is in his eighth season with Arkansas and has a record of 138-87. In his 15 season as a head coach, Blair has an all-time record of 348-130.
OSU-UA TIES
Oklahoma State has no players on its roster from the state of Oklahoma, although Machell Roberts attended Westark Community College in Ft. Smith, Ark. Coach Carlene Mitchell is a native of Dewitt, Ark. On the UA roster, senior Wendi Willits is from Ft. Cobb, Okla., while freshman Shanna Harmon is from Norman, Okla.
OSU-UA SERIES
Oklahoma State leads the all-time series with Arkansas, 9-7, although the Lady 'Backs have a two-game winning streak against OSU. The two teams played five-straight seasons between 1991 and 1996, with the Cowgirls holding a 4-1 edge.
