Cowboy Netters Continue Action in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. - Oklahoma State's men's tennis squad advanced three players to the third round at the ITA All-American in Tulsa this weekend.
In first round action, Jonas Piibor of Indiana State defeated freshman Justin Ewert in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. Cowboy sophomore Jiri Jezek defeated Bryan Endress-Fox of Drake 6-4, 6-2, while senior Chris Bates defeated Troy Gillhamof Evansville 6-3, 6-2 to advance.
Junior Fran Krepelka defeated Nebraska's Patrick Kennedy 6-2, 6-2, to move on.
Junior Matt Prentice also defeated a Big 12 foe, downing Adnan Hadzialic of Nebraska 7-5, 6-3,. Sophomore Eru Lyndon defeated Rick Ferreira of Northern Iowa 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the second round.
In second round action, Jezek fell to Tulsa's Pawel Sebastyanski 7-6, 6-1, and Krepelka fell to Dane McGregor of Tulsa 6-1, 6-2. However, three Cowboys did advance as Bates downed Justin Hunter of Colorado, while Prentice worked up a victory against Drake's Tim Miller 6-4, 6-3 and Eru Lyndon defeated Sean Monk of Tulsa 6-1, 6-4.
