Women's Hoops Falls to No. 11 Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Angie Braziel scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, leading No. 11 Texas Tech to a 73-58 victory Wednesday night against Oklahoma State.
Braziel, who recorded her eighth double-double of the season, scored 18 of the first 24 points for the Lady Raiders (22-3, 11-2 Big 12) in the second half.
Jennifer Crow scored 16 points to lead Oklahoma State (12-11, 4-9). Shelly Jackson added 10 points for the Cowgirls, who have dropped five of their last six.
Rene Henebutt scored 17 of her 19 points in the first half, hitting five 3-pointers and helping Texas Tech to a 41-30 halftime lead.
But the second half belonged to Braziel. She scored six points as the Lady Raiders outscored Oklahoma State 12-5 through the first five minutes of the period and had 12 consecutive points as Texas Tech opened up a 65-48 advantage with 3:56 left.
Oklahoma State, which committed 24 turnovers, pulled within 28-24 on a basket by Crow with 4:50 remaining in the first half.
The Lady Raiders fought off the threat, outscoring Oklahoma State 13-6 for the remainder of the half. Hanebutt made a 3-pointer and a pair of free-throws and Braziel scored inside twice.
