STANFORD, Calif. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team moved up three spots to third place after the second round of the NCAA West Regional Championships here Friday afternoon on the Stanford Golf Course. Freshman Maria Bodn moved from eighth to fourth and is currently two under par at 144.
Arizona continues to lead the team race, shooting a nine-under-par 283 on day two to go up 17 strokes on second-place Arizona State. OSU is five strokes behind ASU with a 595. The Texas Longhorns are in fourth place with a 596, and Stanford is just one stroke behind that at 597.
Sun Devil Grac Park is atop the individual leaderboard, two strokes ahead of UA's Marisa Baena and Tulsa's Niina Laitinen, who both have 141's after the second round. Cowgirl's JoJo Robertson and Anna Lindblom are both tied for 23rd place with a 148.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday with a final round of 18 holes played on the 6,190-yard, par-73 course. The top 11 teams will advance to the NCAA Championships to be held May 20-23 in Madison, Wisconsin.
