COWGIRLS HOST WILDCATS
Oklahoma State (14-9 overall, 7-6 Big 12 Conference) hosts the Kansas State Wildcats (10-13 overall, 4-9 Big 12) on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena. OSU is coming off a 72-64 loss at Baylor, while K-State is just off an 80-50 loss to Iowa State in Manhattan. Oklahoma State has won three of the last four after a four-game losing streak, while Kansas State has lost six of its last seven, having defeated Missouri, 66-57, last Sunday.
LAST TIME
Oklahoma States Devon Magness was one short of a career high with 16 points, but the Baylor trio of Kacy Moffitt, Lara Webb and Toya Ellis scored all but 10 of the Bears points as BU defeated OSU, 72-64, in the Ferrell Center in Waco. Jennifer Crow and Sarah Boyd each added 10, but Baylor made seven more free throws than the Cowgirls and were called for six fewer fouls. Each bench received a technical foul, and with 3:53 remaining in the game, OSUs Dick Halterman was ejected from the contest. OSU outrebounded the Bears, 41-34, but the difference was the three-point arc, from which BU hit 6-of-12 shots while OSU was good on just 1-of-9. OSU and Baylor split the regular-season series.
COMING UP
Oklahoma State will travel to Austin, Texas, to face the Texas Longhorns on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. before closing out the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 28 with a 3 p.m. game vs. Oklahoma in Gallagher-Iba Arena. It appears that Oklahoma State will finish with the No. 6 seed in the Big 12 Tournament, which means the Cowgirls will play the No. 11 seed on Tuesday, Mar. 3, at 8:20 p.m.
EDWARDS, ROBERTS NECK-AND-NECK
Seniors Cheri Edwards and Renee Roberts are neck-and-neck going into the stretch, with Edwards holding a one-rebound lead on Roberts. Both reached the 500-career rebound mark earlier this month, just the 11th and 12th players to do so in Oklahoma State history. With three games remaining in the regular season, both should surpass Jackie Glosson (ninth with 516) and Jodi Fisher (eighth with 525) before the season is over.
CROW REMAINS CONSISTENT
Sophomore guard Jennifer Crow may be the most consistent player for the Cowgirls right now. She has scored at least nine points in 21 games this season. She has hit the double-figure mark on 17 occasions this year, including a season-high 20 vs. Iowa State. She currently leads the team in points (285), points per game (12.4), steals (43), free-throw percentage (.806) and three-pointers made (29). Jennifer was a three-time Big 12 Conference Rookie of the Week last season, and has put up even better numbers this year.
SLOWLY BUT SURELY
Junior Nikki Harmon should be available for the Kansas State game on Saturday, just one of many Cowgirls that has returned to action this season. Slowly but surely, the Cowgirls are returning to the court. Here is a look at who has been injured this season, along with their injury and the result...

70S THE MAGIC NUMBER
This season, anytime either Oklahoma State or the opponent has scored at least 70 points, that team has won the basketball game. The Cowgirls are 11-0 when scoring at least 70 points, and six of those have come with 80 or more points. Likewise, when OSUs opponents have scored at least 70 points, like Baylor did on Wednesday, the opponents are 4-0.
COACH DICK HALTERMAN
Dick Halterman is in his 15th season as head coach of the Oklahoma State Cowgirls, and brings with him a 268-170 (.613) record, the most wins by a women's basketball coach in OSU history. Halterman came to Oklahoma State following a successful five-year career at Moberly Junior College, where he led his team to a 144-23 record in five seasons and the 1982 National Junior College Championship. Prior to that, Halterman was the head coach at Wheeling High School for four years, and led the team to a 105-11 record and the 1975 Missouri State High School Basketball Championship. Halterman is a two-time Big Eight Coach-of-the-Year selection, and has a 140-112 (.558) record vs. the rest of the Big 12.
