- OSU lost on Senior Day for just the second time under head coach
Eddie
Sutton. Both losses have come at the hands of Kansas (1993 and 1998). - Over the past five games, OSU has not shot higher than 42.6 percent from the field in any game, and the Cowboys have topped the 40-percent mark just twice.
- OSU has not committed more turnovers than its opponents in any of
the
past nine games. - The Cowboys have missed just four second-half free throws in the
past
four games (52 of 56, 92.9 percent). - Doug Gottlieb pulled down a career-high six rebounds.
- The Cowboys' 11 conference wins are the most since the 1964-65 team
went
12-2. - OSU is guaranteed no more than seven losses this season, the fewest
since
the 1982-83 team went 24-7. - OSU is the second seed in the upcoming Big 12 Championship. The
Cowboys
will play in Friday's quarterfinals against the winner of
Thursday's first-round matchup between Texas and Texas Tech. The Cowboys
have finished second or better in the conference in six of Eddie Sutton's eight
seasons at OSU. - OSU's total of 14 home victories ties for the third-best mark in
school
history. The Cowboys went 15-1 in 1988-89 and again in 1991-92.
