Kudrnac Named Big 12 Player of the Year

DALLAS, Texas - Featuring some of the best collegiate tennis players in the nation, the Big 12 Conference announced its 1998 All-Conference Tennis Teams and individual honors on Wednesday. The all-conference teams and honors were selected by a vote of the league's head coaches.
Oklahoma State's Pavel Kudrnac headed the list. Kudrnac is the nation's No. 1 ranked player and the Big 12 Player of the Year. Kudrnac was also named Big 12 Men's Player of the Year in 1997. The senior from Pilsen, Czech Republic also captured the Big 12 No. 1 singles position for the second consecutive season by completing a perfect 9-0 record in league play. He and Martin Dvoracek are currently ranked No. 2 in the country in doubles. The tandem was also named to the 1998 All-Conference team.
The Cowboys will travel to Tulsa May 15-17 for the NCAA Regionals, and the NCAA Championships will be held in Athens, Ga. May 23-31.
