Cowgirls in Sixth at West Regional

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team, led by freshman Maria Boden, is tied with San Jose State for sixth place at the NCAA West Regional Championships here Thursday afternoon after the first round of play. The Cowgirls shot a team total of 298, just eight strokes behind leader Arizona.
Boden shot a first-round 72, one under par and just four strokes behind individual leader Grace Park's 68. Park's Arizona State team is tied for second with Tulsa, three strokes behind UA's 290.
The Texas Longhorns and USC Trojans are tied for four with a one-day 297. Other OSU scores include JoJo Robertson and Anna Lindblom, both tied for 22nd with a one-over 74, Lotta Stromlid, tied for 69th with a 78, and Bresha Marshall, tied for 77th with a 79.
Play will continue on Friday with another round of 18 holes beginning at 8 a.m. PST. The tournament will conclude on Saturday with a final round of 18 holes.
