Cowgirls Lead after First Round in California

MENEFEE LAKES, Calif. - Oklahoma State's seventh-ranked Cowgirl golf team leads after the first round of the Pioneer Electronics Bruin Classic here Monday afternoon, leading second-place TCU by 18 strokes.
Sophomore Maria Boden is atop the individual leaderboard with a par 72 during the first round. Senior JoJo Robertson is second with a one-over 73, while Lotta Stromlid and Emma Zackrisson are tied for fourth with a four-over 76. Natasha Rowe, the Cowgirls' other starter, is tied for 53rd with an 85.
Oklahoma State shot a first-round total of 297. TCU, ranked eighth in the latest edition of the MasterCard Collegiate Golf rankings, is tied with Texas Tech at 315. Third-ranked USC is tied for fourth at 317, along with No. 24 UCLA. Oregon, ranked 12th in the country, is in seventh place with a 318.
The tournament will continue on Tuesday morning with another round of 18 holes, and conclude on Wednesday with a final round of 18.
