Cowgirls Fall to Buffaloes in Regular Season Finale

BOULDER, Colo. - Oklahoma State's women's tennis team lost it's final regular season match to Colorado, 6-3.
Early on in singles play, it looked like the Cowgirls had a shot at the number two team in the Big 12. Sophomore Maria Galoustova defeated Colorado's Jessica Garrow at No. 1 in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. At no. 2 freshman Dominika Olszewska battled back from a first set loss to defeat CU's Nadine Kenzelmann 1-6, 6-1, 6-4. But the Buff's went on to win the remaining four positions.
In doubles action, the Cowgirls lone point came at No. 3 when the duo of Lenka Humenikova and Martina Hautova easily defeated CU's team of Elissa Udell and Emily Smith, 8-0.
The Cowgirls finish the regular season with a 14-7 overall record and 6-5 in Big 12 play. Next up for OSU is the Big 12 Championships in College Station. First round action begins Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
