Cowgirl Netters Conclude Play at UTA Tournament

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's tennis team finishes University of Texas-Arlington tournament with mixed emotions.
In singles Flight One, sophomore Maria Galoustova defeated SMU's Patricia Diaz 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, to advance to the finals. Senior Martina Hautova was defeated by singles champion TCU's Lucie Dvorakova 5-7,6-0,6-3. In the final, Galoustova was defeated by Dvorakova 6-1,6-4. In singles Flight Three, senior Amy Kusch defeated Wichita State's Martina Stojkic 6-4,6-1, to advance to the finals. In the final, she was defeated by TCU's Stacey Sabala 4-6,6-1,6-1.
In doubles Flight One, the duo of Hautova/Galoustova defeated TCU's Dvorakova/Herring, 8-4, to advance to the finals. The duo of Marketa Chmelova and Cameron Stoudt won the consolation championship defeating Wichita State's team of Hartman/VAn Den Heever, 8-3.
In doubles Flight Two, OSU's team of Kusch and Vanessa Paun lost the consolation championship to Wichita State's team of Immich/Dangos, 8-5.
