Cowgirl Golfers Tied for Eighth after First Round

HONOLULU, Hawaii - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl team is in a tie for eighth place after the first round of the Dr. Thompson Rainbow Tournament here Tuesday afternoon at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course. Freshman Emma Zackrisson leads the Cowgirl surge with a four-over-par 76, good for 14th place.
San Jose State is atop the team standings with a six-over-par 294, led by three individuals placing in the top five. Arizona is second at 298, while TCU (302), Stanford (303), Pepperdine (307) and Auburn (307) round out the top five.
There is a four-way tie at the top of the leaderboard, with two TCU golfers, Susan Horton and Shannon Fisher, tied with Krissie Register of Arizona and SJSU's Marcela Leon at par-72. Other OSU golfers are Maria Bodn, tied for 30th at 78, JoJo Robertson, tied for 37th at 79, Lotta Stromlid, tied for 42nd at 81, and Natasha Rowe, tied for 56th at 83.
The tournament will continue Wednesday with another round of 18 holes, and conclude on Thursday with a final round of 18.
