Cowgirl Golfers 10th after First Round

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team is in 10th place after the first round here Thursday afternoon at the UNM Dick McGuire Invitational. Maria Boden, a sophomore from Sweden, is tied for fifth to lead all Cowgirl scorers.
The 13th-ranked Cowgirls trail TCU by 12 strokes, with TCU atop the leaderboard with a 10-over-par 302. USC is in second, two strokes behind the Horned Frogs, while UCLA and New Mexico State are tied for fourth with a 304 total. Texas rounds out the top five with a 308.
Natasha Rowe, a junior on the Cowgirl squad, is currently tied for 36th with a six-over 79, while senior JoJo Robertson is one stroke back at 80. Lotta Stromlid is tied for 50th with an 81, while freshman Emma Zackrisson is tied for 64th with an 82. McKenzie Gibson shot an 89 as an individual from Oklahoma State.
The tournament will continue on Friday with a second round of 18 holes, and conclude on Saturday with a final round of 18.
