Cowgirl Golf Ready for Previews

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team has two upcoming tournaments in five days starting Saturday as they continue the fall season.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Cowgirls will play in the Big 12 Fall Preview in Austin, Texas. Monday through Wednesday of next week, OSU will compete in the Bama Fall Preview in Tulsa, Okla.
The Big 12 Preview will include all Big 12 schools in an event which Oklahoma State took first place a year ago. Maria Bodn, then a freshman, tied for the individual title in the tournament. OSU defeated several Big 12 schools last week at the Dick McGuire Invitational.
The Bama Fall Preview, which will showcase the upcoming 1999 NCAA Championships to be held at the Tulsa Country Club, features 16 teams ranked in the top 25 in collegiate women's golf. Among the field are top-ranked Duke, No. 2 Arizona, third-ranked Arizona State, No. 4 Georgia, fifth-ranked USC, No. 6 Tulsa and seventh-ranked Stanford. Oklahoma State is ranked 13th in the preseason MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings.
OSU fans are encouraged to come out and support the Cowgirls. The Tulsa Country Club is located just north of US-412 on Union Avenue in northwest Tulsa.
