TULSA, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team was in last place after the first round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships here Wednesday afternoon at the Tulsa Country Club. OSU's 319 as a team was one stroke behind Auburn and two strokes behind TCU and San Jose State.
Top-ranked Duke shot the only round under 300, leading second-place Arizona State by 12 strokes. The Blue Devils shot a four-over-par 288, with four golfers placing in the top six after the first day.
OSU's Maria Boden was tied for 24th after the first round, with a five-over 76 through 18 holes. Grace Park, an ASU Sun Devil, sits atop the leaderboard with a two-under 69, the only sub-par round of the day. Cowgirl senior Lotta Stromlid is tied for 56th with a 79, while JoJo Robertson and Emma Zackrisson are tied for 83rd with an 82. Natasha Rowe rounds out the OSU scores with an 83.
Oklahoma State will tee off Thursday morning beginning at 8:40 a.m. The tournament will continue with another round of 18 holes on Friday, and conclude with a final round of 18 on Saturday.
